This hike is hosted by a docent from Community Nature Connections who is a longtime film enthusiast, movie industry executive who loves to share her passion of films
Saturday May 5th 9:00am – 11:00am. It’s an easy-moderate hike that meets at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center at 9:00am. As we are hiking, we will be “filmmakers” talking about the movie we’re making. We’ll see how others have long used Franklin Canyon as a filming location — including classic movies from the 30s to today’s TV shows — pointing out Franklin Canyon’s chaparral, riparian and woodland environments that can stand in for many places outside of Los Angeles and around the world.
Rain cancels–mist doesn’t count 🙂
We can do a brunch after the hike if everyone feels up to it!
