We want to help you take better pictures. And guess what, you don’t have to have a fancy camera to capture a beautiful photo! No, really! It’s true!
Join us for a photography workshop in the stunning Joshua Tree National Park.
You’ll learn all about composition, lighting, and more. Seriously, with a few simple tricks and tips you’ll be improving your photography in minutes!
What you’ll need:
Anything you want to use to take pictures: phone, point and shoot, dSLR, or SLR
Good shoes for walking
Zero thoughts about not being a good photographer
What we’ll learn:
How to compose more interesting photos
How to understand light and ways to use it
How to create your unique perspective
What we’ll do:
Meeting 4pm Friday afternoon to talk photography and go over weekend logistics
Meet 6am Saturday morning for breakfast, sunrise photo talk followed by a short 1 mile hike.
Break for lunch: Free time to explore the park
Meet 4pm Saturday afternoon for another photo session and short hike
6am Photography at Skull rock to catch the sunrise.
Free the rest of the day to explore the park and head home.
Full Itinerary, with meeting location maps, will be emailed to you 30 days before the adventure begins.

We have two campsites reserved which can accommodate 12 people. Contact Jenny if interested in camping.

What kind of camera do we need? +
You can use a phone, point and shoot, dSLR, or SLR. Anything that will create an image.
Do I have to camp? +
Certainly not there are several towns within driving distance of the park. You'll just want to be sure to arrive at the location of any talks/walks.
How much hiking experience do I need? +
Our hikes will all be short and easy. You are welcome to use your free time to do more hiking or less.
